Interventional Cardiologist
A tiny, flexible tube called a catheter is used in interventional cardiology, a non-surgical procedure, to repair weak or damaged vessels, constricted arteries, or other impacted areas of the heart's anatomy. A cardiologist having one to two years of further study and training in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease, congenital (existing from birth), and structural heart disorders using catheter-based techniques like angioplasty and stenting is known as an interventional cardiologist. Interventional cardiologists are educated to perform specific catheter-based therapies for heart disease, which is the main distinction between them and general cardiology. Conversely, general cardiologists lack the necessary training for certain treatments.
