Pacemaker
A pacemaker is a small, battery-powered medical device implanted under the skin to regulate abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias). It sends electrical impulses to the heart to ensure it beats at a normal rate and rhythm. Pacemakers are often used to treat conditions like bradycardia (a slow heart rate) or heart block, where the heart's natural electrical system doesn't function properly. The device can be temporary or permanent and significantly improves heart function and overall quality of life for people with heart rhythm disorders.
