Renal and Peripheral Stenting

Renal and peripheral stenting are procedures used to treat narrowing or blockages in the renal arteries (which supply blood to the kidneys) and peripheral arteries (which supply blood to areas like the legs, arms, and abdomen). A stent, a small metal mesh tube, is inserted into the narrowed artery through a catheter and expanded to keep the artery open. This improves blood flow, helps prevent organ damage (in the case of renal stenting), and alleviates symptoms like pain or fatigue in peripheral artery disease. These procedures are minimally invasive alternatives to surgery.
